Türkiye denies having prohibited weapons in arsenal Turkish Defence Ministry statement
The Turkish army has not been armed with weapons and ammunition prohibited by international conventions. Information about the use of such weapons has no basis at all.
The Turkish National Defence Ministry made the remarks on its Twitter page on October 20, Caliber.Az reports.
The ministry noted that false information about the actions of the Turkish Armed Forces is distributed by anti-Turkish circles on a periodic basis.
"Misinformation against the Turkish army is an indicator of the collapse and agony of the PKK terrorists and their accomplices, who are at an impasse due to the successful operations of the Turkish Armed Forces," the ministry said in its statement.
The ministry stressed that the only purpose of the Turkish army's operation is the destruction of terrorists. At the same time, the army pays special attention to the protection of civilians, as well as heritage sites. The terrorists have no choice but to surrender to justice, the ministry stressed.
The Turkish ministry stressed its determination to further intensify the fight against manifestations of terrorism in the region.
Türk Silahlı Kuvvetlerinin başarısına gölge düşürmek isteyen çevrelerce periyodik bir şekilde gündeme getirilen "Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri tarafından ‘kimyasal silah’ kullanıldığına" yönelik iddialar tamamen asılsız ve gerçek dışıdır.https://t.co/HI7PPhR4Hx#MSB pic.twitter.com/yRNcQLKRVy
