Türkiye, Greece to define roadmap for coming period
Turkish and Greek leaders Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Kyriakos Mitsotakis will define on Monday a roadmap to be followed by Ankara and Athens in the coming period, the sides will discuss the prospects for growth in trade and the situation in Gaza, Hürriyet newspaper reports.
Mitsotakis will visit Ankara on May 13 in response to the Turkish president's visit to Athens in December 2023.
According to the newspaper, during the meeting, between Erdogan and Mitsotakis, continued cooperation in various fields such as economy, transportation, science, technology, agriculture, tourism, health, and humanitarian ties will be on the agenda.
"Steps that can be taken to increase the trade volume between the two countries, which stands at around $6 billion, to $10 billion will be assessed. Erdogan also intends to reveal to Mitsotakis Türkiye's views and diplomacy on regional and international developments, especially the Palestinian-Israeli conflict," the publication elaborated.
The two sides are expected to sign agreements in the fields of health and medical sciences, as well as on interaction during natural disasters and emergencies.
