Russia labels two Ukrainian organisations undesirable Ideas for Change, and Truth Hounds
The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office has declared the activities of the Ukrainian organisations Ideas for Change and Truth Hounds, both based in Kyiv and founded in 2015 and 2014 respectively, undesirable in Russia, the office announced.
According to the statement, Ideas for Change publishes materials condemning Russia’s special military operation, calls for non-recognition of the referendums on the accession of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics to Russia, and advocates for increased arms supplies to Kyiv, Caliber.Az reports, citing the official website of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.
One of the main objectives of Truth Hounds is reportedly to create and disseminate false information about alleged crimes committed by Russian servicemen during the special military operation.
Both organisations also support strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia and urge the international community to halt economic cooperation with the country.
Ideas for Change and Truth Hounds actively collaborate with various European groups promoting what Moscow describes as an anti-Russian agenda.
Partners of Truth Hounds include the National Endowment for Democracy, the Justice for Journalists Foundation, and other entities whose activities have already been recognised as undesirable in Russia.
