Türkiye's ASELSAN breaks records in defence exports

Turkish defence giant ASELSAN continues to break records in exporting defence products.

ASELSAN presented more than 20 new products at the 16th International Defence Industry Fair IDEF-2023 in Istanbul, the company's CEO Ahmet Akyol told Anadolu.

Overall, the leader of the Turkish defence industry presented more than 500 varieties of its products at the prestigious exhibition.

Akyol said that this year's IDEF exhibition received more global attention than ever before.

Among the new products presented by ASELSAN at the IDEF exhibition in Istanbul, he said, four are designed for air defence. These are extremely sophisticated defence systems, he noted.

The head of the company said that thanks to the new agreements, it was possible to achieve export levels higher in the first half of the year than in the whole of 2022.

Akyol stressed that the company attaches great importance to the nationalization of the Turkish defence industry.
