Türkiye’s presidential candidates to hold private meeting

Turkish single opposition presidential candidate Kamal Kilicdaroglu intends to hold a meeting with another presidential candidate, Sinan Ogan, the Turkish Cumhuriyet newspaper reports.

"Kemal Kilicdaroglu will meet Sinan Ogan today [April 12] at the headquarters of the People's Republican Party (CHP) in Ankara," the Turkish Cumhuriyet newspaper reports.

The meeting is closed to the media. The subject of the upcoming talks is also not known.

Türkiye’s presidential and parliamentary elections are scheduled for May 14. The main opponent of incumbent President Tayyip Erdogan, the single candidate of the Republican Alliance, is the single candidate of the pro-opposition People's Alliance, Kamal Kilicdaroglu.
