Türkiye, UAE join forces in space, AI sectors
Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacir has said Türkiye and the UAE will develop cooperation in space technology and artificial intelligence.
According to him, this is stipulated by the agreements signed the day before by Ankara and Abu Dhabi within the framework of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to the UAE, Anadolu reports.
Kacir noted that the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of digital transformation will enable the implementation of projects in the field of data centres and artificial intelligence.
The minister added that the agreement on the promotion and mutual protection of investments will create a legal framework for a transparent investment environment for investors of the two countries and will be expanded by strengthening the mutual investment climate.
He also touched upon the Memorandum of Understanding on developing common capabilities in the field of launch vehicles for commercial purposes. This document is aimed at increasing the two countries' share in the rapidly developing "space economy".
According to him, strategic cooperation on the basis of this agreement will create opportunities for the formation of a joint launch base in this industry and the development of launch vehicles.
