Two Azerbaijani police officers killed in weapons mishandling in Karabakh

Two Azerbaijani police officers deployed to the liberated territory were killed as a result of careless handling of their service weapons on March 13 at about 03:00 am.

Police officer Ramiz Ismayilov (born in 1982) and private police officer Abid Mustafazade were wounded by a single shot as a result of careless handling of firearms by a policeman, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry.

Despite the efforts of doctors, one of them died at the scene, and the other died on the way to the hospital, the ministry said.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
