Two killed, two injured in drone attack on Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod PHOTO
Two people were killed and two others injured following a drone attack on an industrial facility in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Region, regional authorities said on June 24.
Governor Gleb Nikitin said Russian air defences had intercepted 23 drones overnight during a Ukrainian attack on the region, Caliber.Az reports, citing ASTRA.
According to Nikitin, debris from downed drones damaged an industrial facility, several vehicles, and residential buildings. He said emergency services were responding to the aftermath and that there was no critical damage to industrial infrastructure.

“It pains me greatly to report this, but two people have died, and two others are in the hospital,” Nikitin said in a statement, offering condolences to the families of the victims and pledging support for those affected.
Russian authorities have not immediately provided details about the identities of the victims or the specific industrial site that was struck.
Earlier, local reports cited by ASTRA said a private home caught fire in the Kstovo district, near the “Elektrokabel NN” facility, following the attack. Residents also reported drones flying toward the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery, a major oil-processing facility that has been targeted in previous drone strikes.
