UFC Fight Night in Baku sells nearly 11,000 tickets
Nearly 11,000 tickets were sold for UFC Fight Night Baku, with around 40 per cent purchased by international fans.
According to the Baku City Circuit Operations Company, spectators from 72 countries attended the tournament, which was held at the National Gymnastics Arena on June 27, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The company said demand for tickets was significantly higher than last year, with the event selling out in record time.
Azerbaijani fighters recorded mixed results during the event. Tahir Abdullayev defeated Brazil's Jefferson Nascimento, while Farman Hasanov secured a victory over American Eric Nolan.
Nazim Sadykhov was defeated by Brazil's Matheus Camilo. In the main event, Azerbaijani fighter Rafael Fiziev beat Mexico's Manuel Torres.
