UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy commends Azerbaijan’s hosting COP29

UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan Baroness Emma Nicholson has hailed Azerbaijan’s hosting COP29.

"I am very happy that COP29 will be held in Azerbaijan. Baku often, several times a year, hosts major events. So I think that Azerbaijan will be an excellent host to COP29 as well," Baroness Nicholson said, AZERTAC reports.

"Azerbaijan is doing a lot to achieve net zero emissions. Overall, Azerbaijan is a wonderful country. It is the first country in the East to grant women the right to vote and be elected. There are many more facts about Azerbaijan that other countries don't know about. Azerbaijan is already a leader in achievements related to climate change, closely cooperating with bp in this field. Holding COP29 in Azerbaijan is very gratifying," she added.
