Azerbaijan extradites Tajik national wanted for large-scale drug trafficking

Azerbaijan has extradited Khokimjon Imomjonovich Ibronov, a Tajik national wanted internationally for illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs on a particularly large scale, the press service of Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General's Office, told Caliber.Az.

Born in 1983, Ibronov was detained in Azerbaijan in May 2025, and a preventive measure of detention was imposed on him. 

According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan, he was handed over to the authorised authorities of Tajikistan under a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan.
