UK unveils amount of overall military assistance to Ukraine

UK Deputy Defence Minister Timothy Elliott-Murray-Keeninmaund has named the total amount of money spent on military support for Ukraine since December 2021.

"The UK has pledged almost £12 billion in overall support to Ukraine since February 2022, of which £7.1 billion is for military assistance. £2.3 billion was provided in the financial years 2022/23 and 2023/24 and on 12 January 2024, the Government announced a further £2.5 billion of funding for 2024/25," said the response of the deputy head of the Ministry of Defence to the corresponding parliamentary request of Dale Campbell-Savours, a member of the British House of Lords.

The UK is one of the leading donors to Ukraine, alongside the US and Germany.
