Ukraine lowers mobilisation age
02 April 2024 20:55
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a decree reducing the minimum age for conscription in the country from 27 to 25. The decree, which was officially published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, signifies a significant adjustment to the nation's mobilization regulations.
Effective immediately upon publication, the law expands the pool of eligible conscripts, now encompassing individuals as young as 25 years old. This change marks a departure from the previous threshold, under which men aged 27 to 60 were liable for mobilization in Ukraine, as reported by Gazeta.ru.
