US ambassador to Israel: Trump will not allow massacre in Iran
US ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said President Donald Trump would act to stop violence against protesters in Iran, even though no military strike is planned.
In an interview with Sky News, the US ambassador emphasised that President Trump would rather never use military force, but he is no chump and would intervene in Iran’s protests if necessary, Caliber.Az reports.

“He’s not going to watch people slaughtered. He will intervene when it’s necessary and he will deal with those who do horrific things,” Huckabee added.
The ambassador stressed that any final decision on military action against Iran rests with President Trump and his cabinet, but confirmed that no attack was planned at the time of the interview.
"Those are decisions that are going to be made in Washington by the president, by the secretary of war, but I'm not hearing anything at this point where America is preparing to engage militarily," he said.
Huckabee noted that the situation in Iran is largely driven by an organic movement of deeply disgruntled citizens who feel they can no longer continue under current conditions.
"The people are protesting because they can't feed their families. They're protesting because there's not enough water. Inflation is so high that what was once enough to purchase a car can barely buy a loaf of bread," the ambassador concluded.
