US sends group of F-22 fighters to Japan

A group of American fifth-generation F-22 fighters arrived at the Japanese Kadena Air Base.

The stetement came from the Indo-Pacific Command of the US Armed Forces. on July 2, Interfax reports.

The fighters were transferred from Ayelson Air Base in Alaska for the multinational military exercise Northern Edge 2023-2 with US allies in the North Pacific Ocean, which will last from July 2 to 21.

They involve thousands of American troops, five ships and more than 150 aircraft.
