Uzbek president calls on Israel, Palestine to stop hostilities

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has called on Israel and Palestine to start peace talks.

As Report correspondent reports from Tashkent, the Uzbek president said this in his speech at the opening of the ECO summit.

"The victims of this war are more and more often civilians: women, children, elderly people. We call on the parties to immediately stop military actions and start peace talks," he said.

According to the Uzbek president, the people of Palestine have the right to establish their own independent state, which is confirmed by UN resolutions.
