Western Azerbaijan Community Spokesperson highlights historical injustices In webinar with US Global Policy Institute

Ulviya Zulfigar, Spokesperson for the Community of Western Azerbaijan, participated in a webinar interview with Professor Paolo von Shirak of the US Global Policy Institute.

The session, attended by listeners from various countries, highlighted the genocides and deportations suffered by Azerbaijanis over the past 200 years, Caliber.Az reports via the community.

During the webinar, Zulfigar emphasized that Western Azerbaijanis have been forcibly expelled from their homeland four times in the past century alone. Responding to Professor von Shirak's inquiry about the return of Western Azerbaijanis, Zulfigar outlined that the concept developed ensures the peaceful and safe return of Azerbaijanis to their native lands.

She also stressed that international legal norms and principles support the right of Western Azerbaijanis to return to their ancestral homeland.
