FM Bayramov holds key talks on Pakistan ties and Ukraine peace prospects PHOTO

Strengthening political partnerships and promoting peace and stability were among the key issues raised by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during meetings with his Pakistani and Ukrainian counterparts in New York. 

At the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Bayramov discussed Azerbaijan’s strategic partnership with Pakistan with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, while talks with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha focused on regional and international security, geopolitical developments, and prospects for strengthening peace and stability, Caliber.Az reports.

During his meeting with Ishaq Dar, Bayramov reviewed the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, with particular emphasis on maintaining strong political dialogue. The ministers also stressed the importance of continuing mutual support on international platforms on issues related to their national interests.

In talks with Andrii Sybiha, Bayramov addressed the bilateral cooperation agenda alongside regional and international security issues and prospects for strengthening peace and stability. The ministers exchanged views on ongoing geopolitical developments, the importance of upholding international law, and the role of constructive dialogue in resolving conflicts.

They also reaffirmed the importance of multilateral cooperation in addressing security challenges and advancing sustainable peace.
