Western Azerbaijan's cultural heritage on display in Paris PHOTO
An exhibition reflecting the destruction of the cultural heritage of Western Azerbaijan [present-day Armenia] was held in front of the UNESCO headquarters in France's capital Paris on September 20.
The action was held within the framework of the event "Creating Intercultural Dialogue", organised by the association "Justice and Rights Without Borders" (Justice et Droits Sans Frontieres), Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
The main objective was to draw the attention of the French public and international structures to the deliberate destruction by Armenians of the cultural heritage of Western Azerbaijanis, densely populated quarters of Yerevan, including the Tapabashi quarter.
The exhibition featured photographs depicting the Iravan Fortress, the Sardarabad Fortress, the Sardar Palace, the Salim Caravansarai, the Urud monumental complex, the Tapabashi quarter, the grave of Ashig Alasgar, the Abbas Mirza Mosque, the Sardar Mosque, the Rajab Pasha Mosque and other monuments of Azerbaijani cultural heritage.
