Yerevan does not recognize any “Karabakh government in exile” Armenian PM’s statement

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has ruled out the recognition of any “Karabakh government in exile”.

“Some groups from Nagorno-Karabakh, wittingly or unwittingly, are taking actions and steps that pose a threat to the national security of Armenia, declaring some governments in exile, etc. Yes, there is a government in the Republic of Armenia, and this government sits in this hall,” Pashinyan said at a government meeting, commenting on the statements of the residual element of the illegal regime of Samvel Shahramanyan, according to the Armenian news outlet “Hraparak”.

“If necessary, appropriate steps and measures should be taken to ensure that foreign forces do not use certain circles to pose a threat to the security of Armenia. Whether you want it or not is another question, but it must be answered,” he added.

“Those who delivered these messages had the opportunity to act responsibly, and we have seen what they did with that opportunity. Let’s say everyone goes, rents an apartment, puts up a sign and says: “We are the government here.” Such actions towards the state are disrespectful and cannot remain unrequited by the Republic of Armenia,” Pashinyan said.
