Young Azerbaijani wrestlers grab medals in Turkiye  PHOTO

The Turkish city of Antalya has hosted the Champions tournament among young wrestlers.

After the first two days of the competition, the Azerbaijani team of wrestlers won 11 medals, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Wrestling Federation.

In Greco-Roman wrestling, gold was won by Farid Sadikhli (55 kg), Ziya Babashov (63 kg) and Gurban Gurbanov (72 kg), silver - Urfan Hasanli (72 kg) and Rauf Aliyev (82 kg), and bronze - Ruslan Nurullayev (72 kg).

In freestyle wrestling, Abulfaz Nasirov (65 kg) and Farid Jabbarov (86 kg) took third place.

In women's wrestling, Elnura Mammadova (55 kg) and Marziya Sadigova (72 kg) climbed to the highest step of the podium.

Less fortunate was Asmar Jangurtaran (50 kg), who was content with silver.
