Top diplomat: Turkish-Azerbaijani ties at level of alliance

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said that Türkiye’s relations with Azerbaijan are at the level of alliance.

Cavusoglu made the remarks at the second trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers and transport ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Türkiye in Aktau, Report informs.

He noted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has twice visited Azerbaijan in 2022.

Cavusoglu noted that the importance of the East-West corridor across the Caspian Sea is growing day by day.

The minister noted that the liberation of the occupied Azerbaijani territories created new opportunities for cooperation.
