Israeli MFA: We are shocked by heinous attack on Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran

"We are shocked and saddened by the heinous attack against the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran, in which the Chief of Security was murdered," Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Lior Haiat wrote on Twitter.

"We convey our deepest condolences to the people and Government of Azerbaijan and the family of the victim and a speedy recovery for the injured," he added, according to Caliber.Az.

"The Embassy of Israel stands in solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan in this difficult hour," George Deek, the Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan, wrote in turn.
