Azerbaijan, Bahrain review strategic cooperation in expanded talks

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani have held a meeting in an expanded format, during which they reviewed and discussed the current state of bilateral relations and the prospects for future cooperation between the two countries. 

"Foreign Ministers Jeyhun Bayramov of Azerbaijan and Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani of Bahrain held an expanded-format meeting to review and discuss the current state of bilateral relations and explore future cooperation between the two countries," Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s message on X.

"The discussions spanned a wide range of areas, including political dialogue, trade and economic collaboration, and humanitarian initiatives. Both sides underscored the importance of strengthening mutual ties through high-level reciprocal visits, regular political consultations, and the establishment of a structured economic cooperation mechanism. Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to continued mutual support and solidarity in regional and international platforms such as the UN, OIC, NAM, and CICA. Minister Bayramov also briefed his Bahraini counterpart on the progress in post-conflict reconstruction and rehabilitation works in the region, including demining operations, and efforts aimed at building lasting peace,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry wrote.

A letter addressed to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa from His Excellency Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was delivered to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa by His Excellency Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
