UN to continue assisting Azerbaijan in mine action
The Azerbaijani government and the United Nations (UN) have held discussions in Aghdam on further priorities, as well as the issues of establishing even closer cooperation in 2023.
According to Azertac's regional correspondent, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva announced it in an interview with journalists after strategic consultations on the Azerbaijan-UN partnership in the city of Aghdam on March 16.
She noted that during the discussions she heard the sad news.
“We have learned that today [on March 16] two Azerbaijanis were killed as a result of a mine explosion. With deep regret, I express my condolences to the families and relatives of the victims. As a family of the UN, we will continue to support Azerbaijan in the demining work,” Andreeva said.
