Last rescue team of Azerbaijan's MES returning from quake-hit Türkiye VIDEO
The last group of the Rescue Forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, which was in Türkiye to eliminate the consequences of the strong earthquake and support search and rescue operations, left for Azerbaijan.
The Emergency Situations Ministry's press service told Caliber.Az that today morning a convoy of 8 vehicles left Kahramanmarash city for Azerbaijan.
To support the elimination of the consequences of the strong earthquake, the Ministry of Emergency Situations sent to Türkiye rescue and medical personnel of 760 people, 3 special purpose rescue vehicles and other necessary means of rescue, and 8 specially trained rescue dogs. As a result of search and rescue operations carried out by MES, 53 people, including 17 children, have been pulled out from under the rubble. The bodies of 755 people in Kahramanmarash and the bodies of 25 people in Hatay were pulled from the debris.
At the same time, in accordance with the instruction of the President of Azerbaijan, 2630 tents of various sizes, 707 heaters, 5 generators of high capacity, 540 beds, 724 blankets, 650 tables, 2000 chairs, 8,000 sets of clothes, 20,000 pairs of socks, and other supplies were delivered as the humanitarian aid to the brotherly country by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. In addition, a total of 1,9330 people were provided with meals prepared in field kitchens set up by the Ministry in Kahramanmarash.
