Türkiye's law on ratification of protocol on Finland's membership in NATO enters into force

The text of the law on the ratification of the protocol on Finland's accession to NATO has been published in the official newspaper of the Turkish government - Resmi Gazete.

The protocol signed in Brussels on July 5, 2022 “On the accession of the Republic of Finland to the North Atlantic Treaty” is approved under the law, Anadolu reports.

The law will enter into force from the day of its publication in Resmi Gazete.

The Turkish parliament ratified the protocol on Finland's accession to NATO on March 31.

Thus, the process of approving the protocol by all 30 NATO member states has been completed. After the formal procedures, Finland will officially become the 31st NATO member.
