MoD: Azerbaijan Army positions subjected to fire

On May 30, from 11:55 to 16:25 Azerbaijani army positions located in the direction of Ahgdam and Shusha districts were intermittently shelled with multi-caliber small arms fire by members of illegal Armenian armed formations in the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily deployed.

Azerbaijani Army departments have taken adequate response measures in the mentioned directions, the Ministry of Defence told Caliber.Az.

In addition, members of the illegal Armenian armed formations under the guise of agricultural work tried to install long-term fortifications in front of the positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the direction of settlements Chukhurmehle of Aghdam district, Yukhary Veysalli of Fuzuli district, Khirmanlar of Lachin district and Merjimek of Kalbajar district.

As a result of urgent measures taken by units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the engineering work was immediately suspended.
