Azerbaijan may hold IRONMAN triathlon in 2024

IRONMAN triathlon series races may be held in Azerbaijan in 2024, the country’s Triathlon Federation president  Farid Farhadzada said.

He made the remarks during the country's championship, Report informs.

According to him, negotiations on holding the international tournament are ongoing.

”Next year we plan to bring the IRONMAN brand to the country. This will give a big impetus both in terms of tourism and open the way for the flow of athletes. We will hold competitions at a high level. Negotiations are coming to a close,” he said.
