ASALA claims responsibility for attack on synagogue in Yerevan PHOTO/VIDEO

The terrorist organization Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia (ASALA) claimed responsibility for the attack on the Jewish synagogue in Yerevan.

The barbaric attack on the synagogue was carried out by the youth wing of ASALA, Trend reports.

The synagogue was doused with liquid and the windows were broken.

A statement released by ASALA in this regard calls the attack “a successful intimidation operation against the World Jewish Center in Yerevan.”

“Jews are the sworn enemies of the Armenian state and the Armenian people. This is a warning: our successful operation on October 3 in Yerevan is just the beginning. Every rabbi will be under our radar,” the terrorist organization said in a statement.

ASALA threatens war against Israeli Jews in Europe, America, Canada, Georgia if the Israeli government continues to support Azerbaijan.

“No Israeli Jew will feel safe coming to these countries,” the statement said.

This is another clear example of anti-Semitism in Armenian society, and also demonstrates a lack of tolerance towards people of different ethnic identities and religious beliefs.
