General Prosecutor's Office investigates mine explosion UPDATED

The Prosecutor's Office is currently investigating the mine explosion incident involving Yusubov Hasil Eldar oglu, born in 1997, an employee of Azerbaijan's Mine Action Agency (ANAMA).

The explosion occurred while Yusubov was executing his official duties in the liberated territory of Syrkhavend village, Aghdam district.

According to APA, this information was provided by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office. Investigators from the Prosecutor General's Office have visited the site of the incident and conducted necessary procedural actions.

Yusubov's condition remains stable, and he is receiving treatment in the hospital.

According to the information of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), a mine incident occurred on May 28, 2024, in the territory of Syrkhavend village of Aghdam district, liberated from occupation.

ANAMA told APA that Yusubov Hasil Eldar oglu, an employee of the Agency, born in 1997, exploded on an anti-personnel mine while performing his official duties. As a result, he received a traumatic amputation of his left leg in the ankle area.

The victim was taken to the district hospital. His condition is satisfactory.
