Any possible threat will be resolutely suppressed Azerbaijani SBS chief warns Armenia
"The operational situation on the state border, including the border with Armenia, is under our strict control, any possible threat is resolutely suppressed and will be suppressed," the head of the State Border Service, Colonel General Elchin Guliyev, said.
"In September 2022, the enemy, who plotted a provocation against our border checkpoints, once again witnessed the resilience of the Azerbaijani soldier, the high fighting spirit of the Azerbaijani border guard. A large-scale provocation of the Armenian Armed Forces units in the direction of the Zangilan district of the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border was also heroically suppressed. Along with manpower, artillery and mortars, combat posts, strongholds and firing points of the enemy were neutralised," he noted, according to Caliber.Az.
Guliyev reminded that in the course of military operations as a result of the use of Harop and Quzğun attack UAVs 7 S-300 systems, which allowed the enemy to control the airspace of Azerbaijan from a great distance, were destroyed (8 units were destroyed during the 44-day war), as well as 2 control stations of S-125 complexes together with combat installations, P-18 radar system, R-330 Zhitel electronic warfare centre, antenna amplifying installations of the system, dozens of combat stations, and dozens of firing points.
