Armenia, EU commit to deepening strategic partnership in Brussels talks
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos in Brussels as part of a working visit aimed at strengthening Armenia–EU relations.
Both sides welcomed the adoption of a new strategic partnership agenda and expressed their commitment to actively enhancing cooperation across all areas covered by the framework, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.
The discussions focused on EU-supported programmes and explored ways to expand their scope using existing mechanisms.
Minister Mirzoyan and Commissioner Kos also addressed initiatives aimed at boosting infrastructure investment and economic collaboration, as well as efforts to strengthen Armenia’s resilience.
The officials reviewed upcoming high-level events, including the European Political Community summit and the Armenia–EU summit, scheduled to take place in Yerevan in May 2026. They also exchanged views on the current international situation.
The Armenian delegation, led by Mirzoyan, has been in Brussels since December 1 to take part in the 6th meeting of the Armenia–EU Partnership Council.
