Armenia gets new education minister

Armenia's Former Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan has been appointed as head of the ministry.

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturian signed a corresponding decree, Caliber.Az reports, with reference to the Armenian media.

“Taking as a basis the proposal of the Prime Minister, in accordance with Article 131 of the Constitution, as well as Part 1 of Article 5 of the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government, to appoint Zhanna Andreasyan as the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia,” the decree reads.

She is replacing Vahram Dumanyan, who resigned earlier on December 12.
