Armenian military expert Hayk Nagapetyan has said that his country gives France uranium while they give them military junk.

"EU observers are already in Armenia, and it is somewhat difficult to say that they are interested in peacekeeping. They have their own interests - Iran and Russia - and the mission is therefore represented mainly by special services and army officers. From time to time Russia makes statements that Armenia's actions harm bilateral relations because the EU mission is working against it, collecting intelligence from the locations of the Russian Armed Forces and the state borders with Iran," Nagapetyan said in his article published by Armenian media, Caliber.Az reports.

"If the current Armenian authorities are counting on any agreement with NATO, it will be only after the conclusion of a peace agreement with Azerbaijan, because a country that has problems with its neighbors cannot claim membership in the alliance. It is clear that NATO is not very keen to make Armenia a member either; it would prefer to leave it in limbo, as it did with Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova.

Now about French weapons. So far, a memorandum has been inked on the supply of French air defence equipment. Armored personnel carriers (APC) - they say that they were intended for Ukraine, but they will come to us, apparently, because they have already gone out of military fashion. The main task of air defence means, as it seems to me, is to control the sky with reconnaissance tasks against Russia and Iran. Let's not forget that France is a NATO member, and de Gaulle and Gaullism are long and firmly forgotten. And if we change the security formula, then the facilities for Russian air defence systems should go to the French, i.e. NATO. In the memorandum of cooperation, if we approach it with imagination, we can see that France has been appointed as NATO's watchdog, but it is hard to say to what extent its powers exceed Türkiye's.

For France, Armenia is interesting for its uranium deposits, which it lost in Africa. The usual colonial exchange can be made - from here - raw materials, from them - outdated military equipment. Weapons can be bought both from Russia and Iran, but preference is given to a NATO country. The weapons are instructors, operators, and repairs, i.e. this includes the NATO contingent. Next is more.
