Armenia, Iran, India hold first political consultations in Yerevan
The first political consultations in the trilateral format between the foreign ministries of Armenia, Iran and India took place in Yerevan on April 20.
The announcement came from the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press office, Caliber.Az reports, quoting Armenian media.
The Armenian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan, the Iranian delegation by Seyed Rasoul Mousavi, head of the Foreign Ministry's South Asia Department, and the Indian delegation by Jitender Pal Singh, head of the Foreign Ministry's Territorial Administration.
“Economic ties and issues related to regional communications were particularly discussed at the meeting, and ways of deepening cultural ties were outlined.
The diplomats also spoke about the prospects for developing trilateral cooperation in various spheres.
The sides agreed to continue trilateral consultations aimed at developing the partnership," the statement said.
