Armenia sets up working group for visa liberalization talks with EU
Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan has announced the formation of a working group aimed at coordinating efforts for visa liberalization with the European Union.
The group will operate under the Interdepartmental Commission for Coordinating Measures for the Implementation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.
Grigoryan will lead the initiative, which includes heads of parliamentary committees on European integration and foreign relations, as well as deputy ministers from the Interior, Justice, Health, and Foreign Affairs ministries, alongside several MPs and mid-level officials.
This move follows Grigoryan's announcement in September regarding the commencement of official dialogue on visa liberalization with the EU, made during his meeting with Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission.
