Armenian ambassadors accredited abroad to review “Trump route” details At annual meeting of FM Mirzoyan
Armenian ambassadors accredited to foreign countries will have the opportunity to review the details of the “Trump route” during the annual meeting of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, scheduled this year in the Syunik region (Zangezur — ed.).
They may also receive some kind of briefing on how to present the American initiative and the agreements reached in Washington on August 8, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
The meeting is reportedly scheduled to take place from August 25 to 27. During these days, foreign ambassadors accredited to Armenia will also be present in Syunik (Zangezur — ed.), for whom a “familiarisation” trip is also planned.
On August 8, US President Donald Trump hosted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the White House for a historic signing ceremony that marked a breakthrough in the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process. The agreement, described as a joint declaration, outlined steps toward normalising relations between the two nations. A central element of the deal is the establishment of the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP), also called the Zangezur corridor, a 27-mile (43 km) transit corridor through Armenia’s Syunik province, connecting mainland Azerbaijan to its Nakhchivan exclave, which borders Türkiye and Iran.
