Armenian PM, Iranian president discuss results of trilateral meeting in Washington
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, the Prime Minister’s office announced.
During the discussion, Pashinyan briefed President Pezeshkian on the outcomes of the negotiations held on August 8 in Washington, DC. The Prime Minister underscored the opportunities that the recently established peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan offers for regional stability and cooperation, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
Pashinyan emphasised that the development of regional communication channels will adhere strictly to the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, and jurisdiction of the involved states, as well as the principle of reciprocity.
The Armenian prime minister also welcomed the Iranian president’s upcoming visit to Armenia.
On August 7, Iranian media announced that Pezeshkian is expected to make an official visit to Armenia within the next two weeks.
