Armenian PM says peace deal with Azerbaijan could boost investment prospects
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that the signing of a peace agreement with Azerbaijan would create new opportunities for investment and economic cooperation.
During a visit to the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce on 10 December, Pashinyan met with local business representatives to discuss Armenia’s economic potential. The meeting focused on investment prospects across a range of sectors, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Malte Heyne, CEO of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, noted that German businesses are increasingly interested in assessing opportunities in Armenia’s economy and learning more about the government’s reform agenda.
Pashinyan highlighted that the peace agreement with Azerbaijan, signed on 8 August in Washington, opens the door to broader regional cooperation and improved investor confidence. He added that the unblocking of regional communication routes could further enhance economic connectivity.
