Armenian, US defence officials discuss military cooperation

Officials of the Armenian Ministry of Defence have recently visited several US educational institutions within the NATO Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP).

During their stay in the US, the Armenian delegates met with their counterparts at the West Point Military Academy, the US Army Military College, the National Defense University and the Army Headquarters, according to US Embassy in Armenia, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

Integration issues, as well as academic and military training programmes were discussed at the meeting.

"The United States stands ready to work with Armenia to train influential leaders to protect our countries," the embassy said in a statement.
