At least two dead after light aircraft crashes into home in western Germany
At least two people lost their lives in a light aircraft crash in western Germany.
The incident took place in the town of Korschenbroich, located in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The sports plane collided with a residential building, which subsequently caught fire.
Reports from the newspaper Bild indicate that the plane was en route to Mönchengladbach when the pilot signalled an engine malfunction. Shortly after this alert, the aircraft crashed.
Emergency services, including police, firefighters, and rescue teams, were promptly dispatched to the scene. However, details about the number of injured or confirmed fatalities have not yet been released.
In related news, on May 29, a military patrol aircraft crashed in Pohang, a city in southeastern South Korea. Four people were aboard the plane.
Additionally, on May 22, a private business-class plane went down in a residential neighbourhood in California, USA, igniting fires in around 15 houses. Three people lost their lives as a result of the crash.
