AvtoVAZ launches Lada car production in Azerbaijan Expanding presence and promising prospects
AvtoVAZ has initiated the production of Lada cars in Azerbaijan, as reported by TASS, citing statements from the company's CEO, Maxim Sokolov.
"Our Lada production facility is poised to manufacture up to one and a half thousand cars this year alone. We are commencing with the Granta model and have plans to broaden our local production range by the end of 2024, introducing the Nova family, including the Legend and Travel variants. Test prototypes have already been assembled and are undergoing rigorous quality assessments, alongside plans to incorporate the Vesta family," Sokolov revealed.
Highlighting the enduring popularity of Lada cars in Azerbaijan, Sokolov emphasized their strong resonance with the local populace over several decades. This prompted the decision to establish a more direct presence, bringing production closer to customers within the republic.
As part of this strategic move, AvtoVAZ has recruited and trained dedicated personnel, under the guidance of experts from Tolyatti, to ensure seamless operations and uphold Lada's renowned standards of quality and reliability.
