Azerbaijan not only energy partner but also economic platform, minister says

Azerbaijan is seeking to strengthen its position not only as a reliable energy partner and transport and logistics hub, but also as a broader economic platform offering new opportunities for production, investment and regional value chains, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has stated.

In a post on X, he detailed the latest high-level panel discussion titled Shaping the Future of Global Growth, Investment and Connectivity, held as part of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, Caliber.Az reports.

“The exchange covered the macroeconomic and geopolitical factors reshaping globalization, emerging forms of regional economic cooperation, and the growing role of the South Caucasus in the evolving global economic landscape,” he wrote.

In his words, particular emphasis was placed on further “strengthening Azerbaijan’s position not only as a reliable energy partner and a transport and logistics hub, but also as a broader economic platform creating new opportunities for production, investment, and regional value chains.”
