Azerbaijan-Armenia peace agreement to serve development of integration in South Caucasus
A peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia will serve to develop integration in South Caucasus.
The comments came from an Aide to the Azerbaijani President, Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmet Hajiyev in an international conference in the city of Shusha on Thursday, Trend reports.
“Azerbaijan, from its side, is ready to sign a peace treaty. The negotiation process that continues for 30 years testifies to it,” Hajiyev said at the “Development and cooperation in South Caucasus” conference in Shusha.
According to him, Armenia still refrains from taking concrete steps that will benefit it.
The presidential aide noted that joint development in various sectors such as transport, trade and energy would bring socio-economic benefits to Azerbaijan, Armenia and the entire region.
