Azerbaijan attracts more mine detection dogs in liberated lands PHOTO

04 July 2022 15:43

The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has been increasing the number of mine detection dogs involved in mine clearance in the liberated Azerbaijani territories.

In particular, five more specially trained mine detection dogs will be involved in mine clearance in the first half of 2023, ANAMA told Caliber.Az.

The dogs will be transferred to Azerbaijan by the Marshall Legacy Institute as part of the memorandum on the transfer of 30 mine detection dogs to Azerbaijan.

Some 25 dogs have already been transferred to Azerbaijan. The scope of mine clearance operations in Karabakh and East Zangazur was greatly expanded.
