Azerbaijan condoles with Russia over deadly explosion in Makhachkala

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has expressed condolences to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in connection with the explosion at a gas station in Makhachkala.

“Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, I was very saddened by the news of multiple casualties as a result of an explosion at a gas station in Makhachkala.

On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to you, the relatives and loved ones of those who died, and wish all the injured a recovery,” Aliyev said in a letter, according to Azertag.

In the same vein, the Azerbaijani leader condoled with Sergey Melikov, Head of the Republic of Dagestan.

“I was deeply saddened by the news of casualties and injuries as a result of an explosion at a gas station in Makhachkala.

I share your grief over the heavy losses, and on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, extend my deepest condolences to you, the relatives and loved ones of those who died, and all the people of Dagestan. I wish the injured a recovery,” President Aliyev said in a letter to Melikov.

Moreover, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov has also expressed condolences to the Head of the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation Sergey Melikov over the numerous casualties as a result of an explosion at a gas station in Makhachkala.

Asadov extended his deep condolences to the Head of Dagestan Republic, relatives and loved ones of those who were killed, and wished the injured a recovery.

Similarly, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expressed condolences in connection with the death of people as a result of an explosion at a gas station in Makhachkala.

“We are deeply saddened by loss of life and many injuries caused by an explosion at the gas station in Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia.

We express most heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolences to families and friends who have lost their loved ones in this devastating tragedy,” the ministry tweeted.
