Azerbaijan delivers 29.3 million eggs to Russia, agency reports

Rosselkhoznadzor, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, has revealed that a total of 29.3 million eggs have been imported from Azerbaijan to Russia since December 19, 2023, when the supply of food eggs commenced.

According to Report, Rosselkhoznadzor announced that the latest shipment of food eggs from Azerbaijan, totaling 3.9 million pieces, entered Russia through the Yarag-Kazmalyar checkpoint between March 18 and 24. These eggs are destined for sale within the Russian market.

Furthermore, Rosselkhoznadzor disclosed that Belarus has also been a significant supplier of eggs to Russia this year. A total of 181.9 million eggs have been imported from Belarus since the beginning of 2024, marking a notable increase of 3.3 times compared to the same period last year.
