Media: Erdoğan to convene cabinet to discuss Ukraine, Gaza crisis
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to meet with his cabinet to review developments in the peace process aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
According to Türkiye Gazetesi, the meeting will take place not in Ankara, as is customary, but in the city of Azlat, where the president is scheduled to attend a series of events.
In addition to discussions on a potential resolution between Kyiv and Moscow, the cabinet is expected to address the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The United Nations has warned that the region faces a looming famine if urgent aid is not delivered.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels. On August 22, 2025, the United Nations officially declared a famine in Gaza, marking the first such declaration in the Middle East.
The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) reported that over half a million people are facing starvation, destitution, and death due to 22 months of ongoing conflict.
