Azerbaijan exports roughly 18 million tons of oil since early 2024
Azerbaijan exported a total of 17,608,860.22 tons of oil from January to September 2024, marking a decrease of 11.4% compared to the same period last year.
The total value of the exported oil also saw a decline, dropping by 9.2% to reach $11,008,329,940, Caliber.Az reports via the State Customs Committee (SCC).
The share of oil in the overall export structure for the reporting period constituted 55.44%, a rise from 45.79% in January to September 2023.
According to statistics from the SCC, the total volume of oil exports for the entire year of 2023 was 26,047,289.51 tons, reflecting a slight increase of 0.1% compared to 2022.
However, the total revenue from these exports fell by 16.6%, amounting to $16,240,829,630.
Notably, Italy ranked first in Azerbaijan's total oil exports, while Israel is positioned as the second-largest importer. During the reporting period, 2,372,438,38 tons of oil, valued at $1,464,048,63 million were exported to this country.
The Czech Republic holds the third position in Azerbaijan's oil export rankings. From January to September, 2,372,438,38 tons of oil, valued at $790,037,03 million, were exported to the Czech Republic.
